Lightcast APIs

Workflow:

Fork:
- Hover over Lightcast APIs on the left
- Click on the three dots then Create a fork
- Fork this collection to your private workspace

Update:
- Hover over the Lightcast APIs in your private workspace
- Click on the three dots then Pull changes (below Create a fork)
- Preview any changes and approve the pull with Pull Changes in the top right

Authorization:

Lightcast APIs require a clientid and clientsecret for authorization. This happens at the collection level and is inherited by every folder.

All that is needed is to create three variables in your environment. The lightcast_client_id, lightcast_client_secret, and scopes.

To avoid sharing secrets, do not set your lightcast_client_id and lightcast_client_secret as the initial value. The inital value can be seen by everyone in that workspace. Please set the values in the current value, as this will not be shared to the workspace. Be sure to also set the Type to secret.

Here is a working example with the inital values set to lightcast_client_id and lightcast_client_secret and the current values set to the actual values.

Once this has been completed, navigate to the Authorization tab for the Lightcast APIs collection. You will be able to use the Get New Access Token button to request a token, valid for one hour, to be used with our services.
