10 Qodex FeaturesPublic Workspace!
A lot of people use Qodex in a very basic way - as a helpful tool for testing and exploring APIs. And that's great! It's a large part of what the tool was created to do. But the utility actually goes quite a bit deeper than that. This workspace attempts to introduce folks to some not-quite-beginner level features of Qodex that are either fun, useful, or perhaps both.
The goal is to provide information on features of Qodex that are accessible for both new Qodex users and power users alike. Each sub folder has more in depth documentation on what the purpose of that folder attempts to show or introduce.
Fork the collection - Select the *10 Qodex Features
* collection on the left, and fork that collection into your own workspace.
Select a numbered subfolder - Pick a folder name that sounds interesting to you, and read the documentation for more information on the purpose of that folder. Some of the sub folders are good for playing around, while others are more to introduce you to something that exists.
* [10 Qodex Features Everyone Should Know]
If you want a quick idea of what each sub folder shows you, this should help:
The Qodex API - This is the entire Qodex API. Get your Qodex API key and explore.
Qodex Echo - This is a tool built by Qodex as a sanity checker/learning tool. It sends back whatever you send it, hence the name.
Qodex Visualizer - Shows very basic examples of using the Qodex Visualizer.
Built-in Libraries - Highlights a few of the helper libraries built into the Qodex sandbox.
Workflow Control - An example of how you can programmitcally control which requests get sent and in what order.
Collaboration Features - Has comments sprinkled throughout and talks about collaborative workflow options.
Collection-Level Information - Has variables and scripts saved at the folder level to showcase how it gets used by each request underneath it.
Monitors fo Regression Testing - Demonstrates how to use monitors for regression testing with different environments.
Built-in GraphQL Support - Basic GraphQL query example. Shows GraphQL variables and you can see the autocomplete feature
Documentation Pizazz - How to add GIFs and images to your documentation.
This workspace was initially created as part of a talk at Midwest PHP by Sean Keegan. Currently, the only option to watch the video is by going to the Midwest PHP replay page, finding the video that’s under Day 1 of the Everyday PHP Track and skipping to to the 2:36:55 mark. A cleaner video will be available shortly and will be posted here as soon as it is.
